The founder of Plumbcrazy, Dave Barnett established Plumbcrazy Wholesalers in June 1992. The business was started with a 400 square meter warehouse in Bree Street. A year later ,he opened branches in Durban, East London and a few years later a branch in Johannesburg.
At the advanced age of 84 years , Dave sold the business to 3 loyal employees, namely, Kenneth Gilpin the Sales Director, Andre Weppenaar the Branch/Operations Manager and Ridah Fakier , Factory Outlets Manager. The new trio are fiercely committed to growing Dave’s legacy with the loyal support of overseas suppliers and retail merchants across the country.
Plumbcrazy is one of the oldest independent wholesalers in South Africa. A few years ago Plumbcrazy opened Factory shops to market all end of line items and offer numerous local suppliers products at discounted prices.
